What do I get with a case?
A PDF with the story, the facts and the questions; the complete step-by-step solution; the journal entries; common mistakes; a final challenge; and an Excel model with visible formulas.
Do I need to know IFRS already?
Each case is labelled Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. If you are new to a topic, start with the free case or a Beginner case.
Which framework do the cases use?
IFRS Accounting Standards for now. US GAAP, audit and tax cases are planned.
How do I receive the files?
Right after checkout you get a download link on screen and by email.
Are the cases useful for CPA or ACCA preparation?
They are practical exercises that fit well with exam preparation. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by any professional body.
Can I share a case with my team or use it in class?
Each purchase is a licence for one person. For teams or classrooms, write to info@accountingcaselab.com.
Does the Excel model work in Google Sheets?
The models are built in Excel. They also open in Google Sheets and LibreOffice; the formulas used (PV, RATE, IRR, SUM) are supported there.
Are the cases available in Spanish?
Yes. Every case has an English and a Spanish edition, each with its own PDF. Choose the language on the case page.
Are the companies real?
No. Companies and people are fictional. The situations are realistic and based on problems accountants actually face.
